A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed against filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated movie “RRR” in the Telangana High Court. The PIL alleges that the film’s title and story are “offensive” to the sentiments of certain communities in India. The petitioner has claimed that the title “RRR” stands for “Roudram Ranam Rudhiram,” which translates to “violence, battle, and bloodshed” in English, and is a direct affront to the Indian Constitution’s ideals of peace and non-violence.

The petitioner has also raised concerns about the film’s plot, which reportedly glorifies the actions of revolutionary leaders who fought against British colonialism in India. The petitioner argues that portraying these historical figures as violent and bloodthirsty goes against their actual legacy of non-violent resistance. The PIL has requested that the High Court order the filmmakers to change the title and plot of the movie.

“RRR” is a highly anticipated movie that features popular actors such as Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. The film’s release has already been delayed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this PIL may further complicate the movie’s release. The filmmakers have not yet responded to the PIL or issued any statements regarding the allegations made in the petition.
